Numerous hiking trails start right outside our front door and lead into the unique natural landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Relax in the spacious garden with its lawn for sunbathing, enjoy the sun, or simply unwind.

Our terrace is the perfect place to relax—with a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the unique valley floor.

Sled rentals and the cross-country ski trail are right nearby, making your winter vacation perfect.

With the Osttirol Card, you can quickly and easily reach over 20 attractions in the area around our guesthouse.

The Virgental Walking Arena offers 8 different hiking trails in the Hohe Tauern National Park, ranging from easy to challenging. Just 3 minutes from the Waldrast Guesthouse, you can start the “Romantikrunde” trail, which takes you 8.7 km through meadows, fields, forests, and open countryside. A true delight for young and old alike.

Das Frühstück ist lieb zubereitet und die Zimmer waren sauber. Die Lage ist wirklich super und man hat einen traumhaften Ausblick auf die umliegenden Berge.
Die Leiterin, Sieglinde, ist ebenfalls sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Absolute Empfehlung!

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin die sich um ihre Gäste kümmert und sich auch mal zu einem setzt und erzählt. Das Frühstück ist nicht groß aber abwechslungsreich und die heimischen Lebensmittel sind ein Genuss. Wir fahren regelmäßig zu ihr in den Urlaub. Für uns wie eine zweite Heimat.
